How to Become a Volunteer
The first step to becoming a volunteer is to complete the application below and then to call the Volunteer Coordinator at (505) 988-2049. During this “get-to-know you” conversation, you will learn all about the volunteer program and have the opportunity to ask questions you might have. Then, after a satisfactory background screening, an interview will be scheduled. The next step is to fill out some forms and commit to be available 3 to 4 hours a week for at least a 6 month period. As a volunteer you also agree to record notes on each visit, track your time, and submit these reports in a timely manner. You will then be invited to attend the next scheduled volunteer training.
